As part of the construction of a new indoor swimming pool in Emmen, the Netherlands, Watergames & More built a Spray Park, several waterslides and a WaterClimbing wall. The principal building contract was awarded to Wind Design & Build. It then approached us to integrate various products from our range in the new swimming pool. Read more below about the waterslides we constructed, or click ahead to access information about the Spray Park and the WaterClimbing wall.
Project activities
Watergames & More took charge of the entire process from A to Z, in constructing both waterslides for the client. This ranged from surveying and design, to the construction work, installation of the water supply system, assembly and certification. We also coordinated all of these activities, with a view to unburdening the client in the area of project management.
Furthermore, Watergames & More applied insulation to the Challenger. As a large proportion of this waterslide is suspended outside the perimeter of the building, a costly loss of heat might otherwise have occurred. Insulating the waterslide therefore brought about a considerable reduction in energy consumption, while also ensuring that it remains appreciably warmer in use.
The waterslides
The new swimming pool is equipped with two Watergames & More waterslides. A family slide (a Watergames & More WaveRider) has been erected by the side of the leisure pool. This is ideal for families who enjoy riding the slide simultaneously. More adventurous visitors, however, invariably prefer the Challenger, which has a Dazzler fitted. This tube slide is equipped with a large cone, a time registration system and interactive multimedia.
Multimedia
The Watergames & More Challenger installed at this swimming pool is equipped with our new multimedia system. Read more about the options and advantages that this new system offers, here.
