Museumpark Historyland

In addition to its Spray Park that was completed in 2019, Museumpark Historyland now has a themed water play structure that was commissioned in the summer of 2021. Historyland is therefore the first site in the Netherlands where Watergames & More erected a water play structure. Following the huge success of its Spray Park, Historyland also approached us to construct a second water playground.

Beaver-themed water play structure
The new water play structure contains two type 1.2 waterslides; a high one and a low one. These are complemented by ground sprays and a tipping bucket, water wheel and waterfall supplied by our partner Waterplay Solutions Corp. which provide additional aquatic fun. Various sets of stairs and a crawl pipe complete the water play structure. The fully themed water playground occupies an area measuring no less than 100m². While its roof is decoratively finished with artificial leaves, the play structure itself features several polyester branches. 3D beavers are mounted on both roofs. Entirely in keeping with its beaver theme, the play structure features not only various tree trunks with pointed ends, but also a smattering of wood-look finish and/or log patterns.

More visitors during hot summers
Since the completion of its previously delivered Spray Park Historyland has attracted considerably larger visitor numbers during hot summers. And attendance is bound to increase even further following commissioning of the water play structure. After all, the park is now less dependent on clement weather conditions. The decision to install a water play structure enables Historyland to offer visitors even more attraction value and refreshment. All the more reason to visit this stunning park in summer.

Turnkey delivery
Watergames & More carried out the concrete work and earthwork, including excavation, shuttering, reinforcing, as well as the excavation and broomed surfacing of the concrete floor. We also installed the technical systems. This included the complete water treatment system, the basement buffer and plant room, the plumbing and the connection of the attraction and circulation pumps. We then carried out the (final) assembly and test runs that precede turnkey delivery of the project.
