Watergames & More has completed the custom-made water play structure for Aquaferrum Friesoythe in the town of Friesoythe (northern Germany). The fully themed structure was conceived and designed entirely in keeping with the facility’s existing footprint.
Design & target groups
The swimming pool’s existing walkways were also taken into account throughout the process of designing the water play structure. As were the technical possibilities of connecting to the existing water supply system, the current floor gradients and the option of laying new plumbing in the floor.

At the client’s express request, its mascot was incorporated in the design. Fun fact: Aquaferrum Friesoythe shares its mascot with Tier- und Freizeitpark Thüle, with which it has a partnership.
Attraction value
To make the water play structure as attractive as possible to a range of age groups, Aquaferrum Friesoythe opted to incorporate several slides in its water playground. It is equipped with both a slide for toddlers and preschoolers and two Ø800mm tube slides for older children. Furthermore, the play structure comprises various tipping buckets and play features. The general theme of Robinson Crusoe has been applied throughout the water play structure.
