During the course of last year, Watergames & More developed a completely new set of moulds for our waterslides. Assembly of the first waterslide sections manufactured entirely in house, using our own new moulds, commenced at Maasresidence Thorn last week. We are particularly proud to have taken this latest step in the in-house production of waterslides at Watergames & More!
New set of moulds
The new moulds were developed by our in-house design department. We utilised our decade of joint experience acquired in the supply and assembly of products with a view to optimising the detailing and quality of our waterslides.
These newly developed slide moulds should render Watergames & More even more capable of meeting customers’ requirements and providing further improved quality. For example, we have optimised the design of both our start and end elements. This further reduces the loss of water during operation.
Watergames & More has incorporated a unique flange detail in the moulds, thereby guaranteeing the watertightness of the sectional joints using a specially fitted sealing tape. Furthermore, the optimised tongue and groove connection vouches for a perfect fit.
From now on, all waterslide sections supplied by Watergames & More will be finished with an extra high-gloss protective coating, thus offering even better protection from both the elements and UV radiation.
The photo below shows the sections with daylight effects incorporated in the waterslide at Maasresidence Thorn.
Maasresidence Thorn gets first waterslide manufactured using our own moulds
Maasresidence Thorn is a new holiday park currently being developed at the Maasplassen nature reserve in Limburg. The park is constructing a new swimming pool with a waterslide supplied by Watergames & More. The new waterslide is a Challenger: A fifty-metre-long tube slide for the whole family. This slide actually ends in een catch-unit. Assembly of the waterslide is currently in full swing. Operations are expected to be completed within two weeks. Maasresidence Thorn is scheduled to open to guests around mid-May, while the new waterslide will be commissioned as soon as the swimming pool is completed. The design of the waterslide is featured below.
